Homemade Ice Cream Activity!

Homemade Ice Cream Activity!

It's summer which means that first, it's hot and two, your kids have nothing to do! In honor of National Vanilla Ice Cream Day, we wanted to share a great summer activity that we love...Ice Cream in a Bag! This activity is perfect for a hot summer day, is super easy to do, and tastes delicious!

So step by step here is how to make Vanilla Ice Cream in a Bag!

Ingredients:

2 Ziploc Bags, 1 gallon and 1 sandwich

1/2 cup of milk

1 1/2 tbspn of sugar

1/2 tsp of vanilla extract

2 trays of ice (about half a gallon bag)

6 tbspn of rock salt

Step #1:

Fill the large bag 1/2 full of ice and then add the rock salt. Seal the bag.

Step #2:

Put milk, vanilla, and sugar into the small bag. Seal it tightly because if it opens, the recipe won't work.

Step #3:

Place the small bag into the larger bag and then reseal the larger bag.

Step #4:

Shake the bag until the mixture turns into ice cream! Wipe off the top of the small bag and enjoy!

Tip: The recipe will make about 1 scoop of ice cream!

Hope you love this recipe and fun summer activity!

XOXO,

Christina Greene
